How Should We Believe in Jesus to Believe Correctly? [Bible Study 22]

Image
Are we truly those who have faith that God acknowledges? Do you still think that keeping the Law and doing good is believing in Jesus correctly? Do you know and believe the fact that Jesus personally received baptism to take upon Himself all your sins and curses, and that He is God who shed His blood and died on the cross, then was resurrected, having removed all your sins and curses once and for all? The way we can truly be saved from all sins is not by keeping the Law or repenting of sins, but salvation is achieved by accepting and believing exactly as the Word states the gospel of water, blood, and the Spirit — Jesus’ salvation work of taking upon all the sins of the world through baptism, bearing them, and receiving judgment by shedding His blood on the cross for those sins. Today’s sermon content is excerpted from “Return to the Gospel of Water and the Spirit” by Pastor Paul C. Jong, a servant of God at The New Life Mission, and delivers to you “the faith that Jesus desires from ...

Matthew 3:15, “For thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” [Bible Study 21]

To solve your sin problem, you must first clearly understand why Jesus received baptism from John the Baptist in the Jordan River. The Holy Spirit is not received through one’s own efforts and zeal. Only when all sins are removed from the heart by believing in Jesus’ work of salvation — that is, the gospel of water (baptism), blood, and the Spirit — can the Holy Spirit come upon you. Today, we introduce a sermon that clearly explains “the relationship between the baptism that Jesus received from John and the removal of sin” according to the Word recorded in the Bible. This content is included in Volume 3 of the series “HOW CAN WE RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT AS A GIFT? [New Revised Edition],” written by Pastor Paul C. Jong, a servant of God at The New Life Mission. Do you know the reason why Jesus was baptized by John? We can know the reason from the words of Jesus in Matthew 3:15, “For thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” In this verse, the phrase “for thu...

Why was John the Baptist born 6 months before Jesus? [Bible Study 20]

Image
Through whom can we believe in Jesus? It is through John the Baptist. We must properly understand and believe in the reason why John the Baptist was born as recorded in the four Gospels, who he was, and his ministry, so that we can clearly know and believe in the Gospel of salvation that Jesus has accomplished for us. Today’s sermon message is based on the content written in the first book “Have You Truly Been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?” by Pastor Paul C. Jong, God’s servant of The New Life Mission, and it is a sermon message delivered based on the biblical evidence about John the Baptist recorded in the Scripture. In Malachi 3:1, it is written, “Behold, I send My messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me.” You have to read the Bible carefully. Why did God send His messenger before Jesus? Wh...

The Errors of Predestination and Election Theories [Bible Study 19]

Image
In this era’s Christian theology, predestination and election theories have become sources of misunderstanding God’s Word. But why did God love Jacob more than Esau? In this time, we seek to discover the biblical reason through the sermon message found in Pastor Paul C. Jong’s series Volume 2, “RETURN TO THE GOSPEL OF THE WATER AND THE SPIRIT.” How can God unilaterally send some people to hell and choose others? God’s choice is to choose everyone in Jesus Christ, and without Jesus Christ, He does not choose anyone. © 2025 Elizabeth. All rights reserved. A doctrine of election without Jesus Christ is not biblical. This kind of doctrinal choice is a non-truth. However, many theologians say that God chooses some and not others. Absolutely not. God has chosen to save all people through Jesus Christ. The reason some do not receive salvation is that they do not believe in the gospel of the remission of sins through the water and the Spirit given by Jesus, not because God di...

Whom does God call a heretic? [Bible Study 18]

Image
Everyone, in the Old Testament sacrificial system, to remove the sins of the people of Israel, there had to be a sacrificial offering, laying on of hands, and the shedding of blood, as well as a priest recognized by God. What about today? Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, received baptism (water) like the laying on of hands, taking all the sins of the world onto Himself, and by shedding His blood on the cross, He paid the full price for sin, thus removing all the sins of the world. Therefore, He has saved from all sins everyone who believes in this gospel of truth. And what qualifications should the so-called clergy who preach this gospel of truth have before God? They must be born again, with no sin in their hearts through faith in this gospel of water (baptism) and the Spirit. Today's message was excerpted from English Series 2, 'RETURN TO THE GOSPEL OF THE WATER AND THE SPIRIT,' written by Pastor Paul C. Jong of The New Life Mission. Through this sermon, you can examine wh...

Jeroboam's sin became the origin of heresy [Bible Study 17]

Image
Today’s passage is part of the second sermon book by Rev. Paul C. Jong of The New Life Mission, titled “RETURN TO THE GOSPEL OF THE WATER AND THE SPIRIT.” On our website, we provide this book, along with various sermon books by Pastor Paul C. Jong translated into multiple languages, in eBook, audiobook, and bilingual book formats completely free. In the Bible, it speaks of Jeroboam’s sin, which became the origin of heresy. Jeroboam replaced God with a golden calf, and he changed the priesthood — that is, the sacrificial law established by God, which is the law of salvation. What about this present age? We must clearly know the heresies spoken of in the Bible and discern them. © 2025 Elizabeth. All rights reserved. It can be seen through 1 Kings 12:25–26. ‘Then Jeroboam built Shechem in the mountains of Ephraim, and dwelt there. Also he went out from there and built Penuel. And Jeroboam said in his heart, “Now the kingdom may return to the house of David.”’ Jeroboam was ...

The true meaning of 'There is none righteous, no, not one' (Romans 3:10) [Bible Study 16]

Image
Today, I would like to introduce an excerpt from the appendix, 'Questions and Answers,' of the sermon collection 'Have You Truly Been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?' Volume 1 by Pastor Paul C. Jong of The New Life Mission. For more detailed information, we are providing eBooks and audiobooks completely free of charge without any conditions, so please visit our homepage. Q. How can I say, “I’m righteous” when I am sinning every day? A. We, as human beings, commit sins from the very moment we’re born until we die. As a matter of fact, this is due to our fundamental natures; that we are born with sin. So, the Bible says, “There is none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10). That is why the Apostle Paul confessed in front of God that “This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief” (1 Timothy 1:15).  “But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by t...
