We must listen to the Word of the God who created us. What is the “good conscience” mentioned in 1 Peter 3:21? As the Scriptures testify, it refers to those who accept and believe in their hearts the gospel of the baptism and blood accomplished by Jesus, thereby enabling them to approach the Lord with a conscience that is sinless and clean. We can never obtain a “good conscience” through our own righteousness, efforts, or prayers of repentance. To become those who can approach the Lord with a “good conscience,” we must know and believe the true meaning of the baptism that Jesus received, and thereby have all the sins in our hearts removed.
