Just as a drowning man is pulled out of the stormy sea, God delivers us from our sins through the baptism Jesus received from John the Baptist and His blood on the Cross. Now is the day of salvation. “The grace of God” refers to the grace of salvation from sin accomplished through Jesus Christ. When seen from the perspective of the gospel of the water and the Spirit, this grace of salvation is revealed very clearly. God the Father sent Jesus Christ to this earth to solve the problem of humanity’s sins. Jesus came to this earth as the Savior of sinners and received the sins of the world passed onto His own body by being baptized by John the Baptist.
