The Original Gospel that the Apostles of the Early Church Believed In

My review of Rev. Paul C. Jong’s “Have You Truly Been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?” (Book 1 in the series):

In an era where Christianity has degenerated into mere religion, this book preaches the gospel of water (Jesus’ baptism) and the Spirit as believed and proclaimed by the apostles and disciples of Jesus in the early church.

Just as a sacrifice without laying on of hands was invalid in the Old Testament, believing only in the blood of Jesus on the cross without His baptism by John the Baptist in the Jordan River as the Lamb of God who came in the New Testament is unlawful and an incomplete faith. Therefore, this book demands genuine faith in Jesus Christ, who is fundamentally God, who came in human flesh and saves everyone through His water baptism, the blood He shed on the cross, and the Spirit.

What sin is and the purpose of the Law.

The book begins by stating that all humans are born sinners destined for hell, with sin in their hearts from conception as descendants of Adam and Eve, even if they haven’t committed a single act of sin. It defines what sin is and the purpose of the Law. Furthermore, the book considers humans to be children of sinners because fundamentally we are born with sin in our hearts; as a result, it is these sins from within our hearts that defile us and those around us.

In this book ‘Have You Truly Been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?’, the author Rev. Jong concludes by reminding us that with Jesus our Messiah, that is, our ‘true Savior,’ we are no longer in sin because of our weaknesses committed after being saved, and we should not be deceived by the Devil (John 13).

Jesus said to him, “He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.” <John 13:10>

Jesus received baptism (laying on of hands) and died shedding His blood on the cross to eliminate all the sins of us sinners.

I pray that you too will come to know and believe in this original gospel of water and blood that the apostles of the early church believed in, and be born again as sinless children of God.

This is because the gospel of water and the Spirit has given meaning to my life. The problem of mankind lies in sin. It is also problematic that Christians remain in sin. However, Pastor Paul C. Jong’s teachings completely liberate us from the burden of sin. Faith based only on Jesus’ blood on the cross is a burden that false pastors impose to keep us in bondage for life, and this is truly a serious problem today.   The "baptism" that Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist was the only way Christ took upon Himself all our sins. Through the baptism from John the Baptist, who was a high priest according to the order of Aaron, He took on the sins of the world, and afterward paid the price for all these sins by shedding His blood on the cross.
