We are saved not by our works, but by believing in what Jesus did to save us [Christian Testimony 28]

 

Can we be completely washed of our sins and be born again through our good works or prayers of repentance? Absolutely not. The only way to receive salvation and complete cleansing of sins is not through our own works, but by knowing and believing in the righteous work that Jesus Christ accomplished for our eternal salvation.

I give thanks and praise to the Lord who saved me from all sins and made me born again.

The only way mankind can reciprocate the love of its Creator is by believing in the name of Jesus Christ, who is God’s only begotten Son and our Savior. Thus, far from being justified by our own works, we come to know what a grateful being Jesus Christ, our Creator and Savior is, by having faith in the work that He executed to save us from sin.

The Creator has created us anew spiritually by giving us the truth of Christ’s baptism, bloodshed, and resurrection, and by granting newness of life in Christ to those who believe.

Thus, whoever is in Christ is a new creature by virtue of the true faith which admits the sinful nature of mankind and accepts with gratitude the righteousness of God fulfilled by Christ, which is the gospel of water and the Spirit.

We cannot stop thanking God for His mercies which endure forever.

A grateful heart is the faith that acknowledges one’s fundamental sin whose end is hell, and believes in the gospel of salvation through which Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, eliminated all sins by His baptism and bloodshed.

Those who lack such faith are far from the truth and only honor God with their lips while their hearts remain in emptiness.

Therefore, I can’t help but always be thankful to God who saved a wretched being like me from all past, present, and future sins through the gospel of the water, the blood, and the Spirit.

Despite Believing in Jesus, My Sins Still Remained in My Heart [Christian Testimony 19]

  Jesus’ baptism is where He takes all the sins of the world when He is baptized by John (Matthew 3:15), and His death on the cross is where He is judged for the sins of the world by shedding His precious blood.   I was freed from legalistic faith and the doctrine of gradual repentance prayer, and received salvation. I am infinitely grateful for the knowledge I received through Pastor Paul C. Jong's book, "Have You Truly Been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?" Volume 1, about John the Baptist's role and ministry for human salvation. Through this knowledge, I was freed from legalistic faith and the doctrine of gradual repentance prayer, and received salvation. Previously, I did not know and did not consider that the sacrificial law of atonement with goats and bulls in the Old Testament was essential to fully understanding Jesus' ministry for my salvation. Aren’t We Like Those Who Were Robbed, Never Able to Receive Salvation Through Our Own Efforts? [Christian Testimony 18]

  I received genuine true salvation, which freed me from my old salvation that I tried to achieve through my own righteous works, when I read Book 1 in English, “Have You Truly Been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?” from The New Life Mission Pastor Paul C. Jong’s book series. My efforts for my old salvation were truly frustrating. The result was that I had no faith that He took away all my sins because I relied only on the blood of Jesus.
