This testimony is from a sister who was born again after reading "Have you truly been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?", one of many sermon books by Pastor Paul C. Jong, a servant of God. These books can be downloaded for free in various languages from The New Life Mission's homepage.
This testimony follows a Q&A format where believers answer questions provided by The New Life Mission after reading the book.
Q1: What is your view on Jesus' baptism and His death on the Cross?
Jesus' baptism refers to when Jesus received baptism from John the Baptist, who was the last High Priest, a descendant of Aaron and representative of mankind, through which Jesus took and eliminated all sins of this world and all my sins.
And the blood of the Cross means that Jesus came as God's Lamb, took all the sins of this world through baptism, and shed His blood on the Cross as judgment for those sins to save us from all sins.
By understanding and believing in Jesus' baptism and blood, I have now received complete salvation.
Q2: Do you have sin?
Through the Lord, I have no sin.
Jesus, who is God, came to this earth as my Savior and eliminated all my past, present, and future sins through the gospel of water, blood, and the Spirit.
In other words, through Jesus' baptism from John the Baptist and His death on the Cross, I have become holy and sinless before God.
Q3: How do you resolve the problem of future sins?
I resolve it by believing that all sins were transferred to Jesus through His baptism from John the Baptist, and that Jesus received judgment for those sins on the Cross. By confirming through faith that I am sinless, I resolve this issue.
Q4: Did you have sin before believing in the gospel of water and the Spirit? If so, why do you think you had sin even though you believed in Jesus?
Previously, I knew that Jesus shed His blood for my sins, but I did not understand that Jesus took all my past, present, and future sins through His baptism.
Q5: Please explain the difference between your faith before and after hearing the gospel of water and the Spirit preached by The New Life Mission.
My previous faith only believed that Jesus is God and that I was saved through the Holy Spirit and the blood of the Cross. Therefore, when I did good deeds and served, I felt assurance of salvation before God.
However, when I sinned, I had sin in my heart and made many efforts like repentance prayers and fasting to eliminate my sins. But, that was only temporary, and my heart always had sin, so I constantly felt uneasy, lacked assurance, and was not free from sin.
However, now I believe not only that Jesus is God—that is, in the Holy Spirit and the blood of the Cross—but also that Jesus was baptized. In other words, I believe in all three: baptism, blood, and the Holy Spirit as the gospel of salvation. Now, I have become a person who is free from sin, a person without sin.
But now, I believe not only that Jesus is God, that is, the Holy Spirit and the blood of the Cross, but also the baptism that Jesus received, in other words, I believe all three of these as the gospel of salvation, so now I am free from sin and have no sin.
Q6: What else would you like to add?
I am certain that I am saved thanks to the almighty Lord. Therefore, I have been born again as God's people without sin before God, and I no longer experience mental attacks or guilt due to sin. Also, now the Holy Spirit always dwells in my sinless heart.
How about you?
Do you have assurance of your salvation before God? God said, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find.(Matthew 7:7)"
