What Faith Must We Have to Enter Heaven? [Christian Testimony 12]
“What must one do to enter heaven?”
To the servants of the Lord Jesus Christ, hello. Here is my testimony:
I personally attended many worldly churches, where they always said that to go to heaven, one must not sin, keep the Law, not seek women, and not drink alcohol. But I was someone who could not keep any of these.
One day, my sister invited four righteous brothers who were born again of water and the Spirit to preach the gospel of salvation. They asked me, “What must one do to enter heaven?” and I answered like anyone who believes in worldly religion, saying “One must keep the Law.” Then they asked me to name some Laws that I thought I had kept. I said “I have not murdered,” but they showed me Matthew 5:21 and made me realize that I had committed countless murders.
“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire. <Matthew 5:21–22>
The Purpose of the Law
And then they explained the purpose of the Law, which greatly surprised me. Because it was the first time I heard that God gave us the Law “to make us know that we are sinners.”
“How can one be saved?”
At that moment, I asked, “How can one be saved?”
They explained how sins could be removed in both the Old and New Testaments, and told me that Jesus had already taken all my sins through the baptism of John the Baptist, the last High Priest, at the Jordan River, was crucified to pay the price for it, and was resurrected according to 1 John 5:6–10.
I believe in Jesus Christ’s baptism, His death, and resurrection.
I am holy and without sin. I thank the Lord for His grace in making me born again of water and the Spirit. Amen.

What must we do to enter Heaven?
Is it by keeping the Law — by not murdering, not committing adultery, not stealing, not coveting…?
But God said that all who rely on observing the Law are under a curse.
He says that the Law was given to make us realize that we are sinners. Before the Law, we are sinners destined for hell.
Therefore, everyone must know and believe in the Law of salvation by which Jesus Christ has blotted out our sins with water, blood, and the Spirit, and be born again as righteous and holy people without sin to enter Heaven.
