Salvation from sin is not achieved by individual effort but through Jesus' salvation [Christian Testimony 37]

 

We receive salvation from sin by believing in Jesus’ water (washing away all sins of the world through His baptism), blood (dying as the price for the sins He took through baptism), and the Spirit (Jesus being fundamentally God).

I have read more than 13 books from the sermon series by Rev. Paul C. Jong, the servant of God at The New Life Mission. I have been reading these books for over 8 months. Through the sermons delivered by Rev. Jong, I fully understand the Gospel of the water and the Spirit.

These books have brought light into my dark world, helping me understand why Jesus was baptized to bear our sins, was crucified as a sacrificial Lamb, and rose again.

This Truth of the water and the Spirit, which saved us from all sins, needs to reach the billions of Christians who claim to be Christians but still think they have to work their own way to earn the forgiveness of sins.

Believing Only in the Blood of Jesus’ Redemptive Work is to Possess Just Half of True Faith [Christian Testimony 22]

  Both Jesus’ baptism and His death on the Cross are part of God’s complete plan of salvation. Baptism is the act by which Jesus took our sins upon Himself, and His blood on the cross is what He paid as the price for those sins. To be “born again of water and the Spirit,” it is essential to believe in both. Therefore, through faith in Jesus’ work accomplished through His baptism and blood, I am without sin, and after being born again, believers have no more sin in God’s eyes.
