All Who Labor Under Sin Are Slaves to Sin [Bible Study 8]

The following content is a summary from one section of the book “Have you truly been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?” which is the first of a series of sermons by God’s servant, Pastor Paul C. Jong. For accurate content, please visit The New Life Mission website where you can download free e-books and audiobooks in your native language.

We Must Understand That Jesus Has Ended the War Against Sin.

All who labor under sin are slaves to sin.

Are you still suffering because of sin?

We must understand that Jesus has ended the war against sin.

Our Lord God Jesus has already broken the chains of sin for all people from the Lord’s side through the gospel of water (baptism), blood, and the Holy Spirit.

He eliminated all our sins once and for all eternally through His baptism and blood.

As a result, we who believe in Jesus’s baptism and blood will no longer suffer from sin.

Do you know how much suffering people endure because of their sins?

Sin began with Adam and Eve through Satan.

Therefore, God established a covenant in Genesis 3:15, which was a promise to save all sinners.

“And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”

God planned this, and according to His plan, Jesus, who is God, came to earth through Mary’s body. He received baptism from John the Baptist, the last high priest, according to the Old Testament sacrificial law. This baptism was received by Jesus Christ, who came as the heavenly High Priest and the spotless Lamb, with the same significance as the laying on of hands.

Through this baptism, Jesus took on all the sins of the world, breaking the chains of sin once and for all.

After His baptism, He preached the gospel for three years and was crucified, shedding His blood to receive judgment in our place, as ‘The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23)’.

Therefore, those who have received the removal of sins by believing in the gospel of water, blood, and the Spirit fulfilled by Jesus, who is God, when He came to earth, cannot become sinners again because they believe that Jesus has removed all their sins — past, present, and future — for their entire lifetime.

Those who believe in Jesus Christ are no longer slaves to sin.

This is because Jesus has already paid the price for all our sins through His baptism and blood.

Those who believe in the gospel of Jesus’s baptism, crucifixion, and resurrection need not suffer from sin anymore.

We must understand that the war against sin has ended, and we should live as righteous people without sin in our hearts by firmly holding onto God’s righteousness and love that saved us from all sins.

How about you?

Are you still living under Satan’s power in sin? Or are you living as God’s holy child, without sin, believing in the baptism, blood, and resurrection that Jesus, who is God, accomplished to eliminate our sins?

For those who wish to find the exact biblical answer to this matter, please look to Paul C. Jong’s first book  “Have you truly been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?” which can be downloaded free in your native language from The New Life Mission.
