Today, most believers in Jesus commit sins due to their own weakness and wickedness, and they try to wash them away by holding onto the blood of the Cross and offering prayers of repentance for the sins they commit daily.
However, can sin be completely washed away from the heart by our own efforts or merits, such as repentance prayers or confession, while believing in the blood of the Cross?
Because we are born with fundamental sin and live constantly committing sin, we can be saved and born again only by believing in the beautiful gospel of the water and the Spirit that Jesus accomplished on His part.
To save all mankind completely from all sin, Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, taking upon Himself all the sins of the world; He paid the wages for those sins by being judged on the Cross, thereby eliminating all our sins, and gave us eternal life by resurrecting.
By believing in this ministry of Jesus, we become born-again, holy people of God with no sin in our hearts.
The content introduced today is excerpted from ‘How Can We Receive the Holy Spirit as a Gift?’ by Rev. Paul C. Jong, a born-again servant of God at The New Life Mission.

Just as we must pay the corresponding price to cancel a debt, in order to erase our sins from our hearts, we must believe in the beautiful gospel that Jesus accomplished through His baptism and blood on the Cross.
Therefore, we must not fall into the sin of not believing in the gospel of the baptism and the blood.
Although we did not directly transfer all the sins of the world to Jesus ourselves, John the Baptist, as a mediator, transferred the sins of the world to Jesus through baptism on behalf of all mankind.
When Jesus died on the Cross, some tombs in Israel were opened, and a few days later, Jesus rose from the dead.
Then He entered the temple in Jerusalem.
This amazing event actually happened, yet many still did not believe.
The Lord has given Heaven to those of us who have received the removal of sins.
It was not by the strength of our flesh or by the merit of our efforts, but by believing in the beautiful gospel that we were able to receive salvation and be born again.
This was not a salvation made up or forcibly constructed.
When Jesus was baptized, the sins of the world were transferred to Him.
Jesus was sinless, but because He bore all the sins of the world through baptism, He had to die on the Cross.
And by rising from death, He gave new life to those who believe in this beautiful gospel.
The high priests and the Pharisees confined Jesus’ body in a stone tomb, blocked the entrance with a large rock, and had soldiers guard it in multiple layers.
Yet, Jesus suddenly came out of that tomb and went to the place where He had promised to meet His disciples before He was killed.
All of these events — Jesus’ birth, baptism, shedding of blood, resurrection, and second coming — were for those who obey this beautiful gospel.
The Roman soldiers testified, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God.” Now, I too have become one who testifies that He is the Son of the living God and my Savior.

Do you know the reason why Jesus had to be baptized by John the Baptist, the last High Priest of humanity?
Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?” But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him. (Matthew 3:13–15)
Looking at the sacrificial law God established in the Old Testament, the High Priest laid hands on a blemishless sacrificial offering to take away the people’s sins for a year, transferring all the sins of the people to the sacrificial offering.
According to the sacrificial law of the Old Testament, Jesus, who came as the Lamb of God, was baptized by John the Baptist, the last High Priest, to have the sins of mankind transferred to Him. He took all the sins of the world onto His body, washed away all our sins, and saved us from the judgment of sin by being judged on the Cross for those sins.
Jesus’ baptism is not an option that you can choose to believe or not.
To cleanly remove all our sins from our hearts, we must turn back and strictly believe in both the baptism — where Jesus received the transfer of mankind’s sins from John the Baptist at the Jordan River to fulfill ‘all righteousness’ — and the Cross.
