A Free Bible Study Book on Acts: Salvation Accomplished Once for All Through the Gospel of the Water and the Spirit

A reader’s testimony on Acts of the Apostles Seen from the Perspective of the Gospel of the Water and the Spirit by Rev. Paul C. Jong

The Acts of the Apostles is often read as a record of the early Church’s history, the work of the Holy Spirit, and the spread of the Gospel through the apostles. However, Acts of the Apostles Seen from the Perspective of the Gospel of the Water and the Spirit by Rev. Paul C. Jong — a born-again servant of God at The New Life Mission — is a Bible study book that helps readers view the Acts of the Apostles from the perspective of the salvation already completed by Jesus Christ, which is the Gospel of the Water and the Spirit.

The Core Emphasis of Rev. Paul C. Jong in the Acts of the Apostles

One of the reasons this book is so meaningful is that it does not merely explain the Acts of the Apostles as a history of the early Church’s growth, miracles, and missionary expansion. Through this Acts of the Apostles Bible study book, Rev. Paul C. Jong demonstrates how the Gospel of salvation through the water and the Spirit, which Jesus Christ has already completed, was witnessed through the apostles.

Core Theme Concise Explanation
Acts as a TestimonyThe Acts of the Apostles shows how the apostles witnessed the Gospel of salvation already accomplished by Jesus Christ, who is God.
Completed SalvationThe book emphasizes that salvation was not progressively completed during the era of the Acts of the Apostles, but was already completed in Christ.
Baptism, the Cross, and the ResurrectionThe apostles’ message is explained focusing on the baptism Jesus received from John, His death on the Cross, and His resurrection.
The Work of the Holy SpiritThe Holy Spirit is described not as someone who replaces the Gospel with emotions, but as Someone who works through those who believe and witness the completed Gospel.
Unhindered GospelIt shows that from Jerusalem to Samaria, the Gentiles, and finally to Rome, the Gospel was not bound by persecution, culture, distance, or human weakness.

This book repeatedly emphasizes that the Gospel was not progressively completed during the era of the Acts of the Apostles. Rather, Jesus Christ already completed salvation once and for all through the baptism He received from John, His death on the Cross, and His resurrection from the dead. The apostles did not invent a new message; they witnessed what Christ had already accomplished.

This perspective also helps us understand the work of the Holy Spirit more clearly. The Holy Spirit did not come to replace the Gospel with emotions or human zeal. The Holy Spirit is Someone who works through people who believe the Word of salvation and witness the completed Gospel of the Water and the Spirit.

From Jerusalem to Samaria, to the Gentiles, and finally to Rome, the Acts of the Apostles shows that the Gospel of the Water and the Spirit was not bound by persecution, distance, culture, or human weakness.

Testimony (Book Review): Salvation Already Completed, Not Progressive Salvation

The testimony below is shared by a brother from Kenya. In this testimony, he confesses his gratitude for what he realized about Jesus’ baptism, the Cross, the resurrection, the completed Gospel, and the work of the Holy Spirit after reading this Acts of the Apostles Bible study book.

A reader holding a Christian Bible study book on Acts, reflecting on the gospel of the water and the Spirit

Words cannot fully express how grateful I am to God for saving us from all our sins through this beautiful Gospel of the Water and the Spirit.

I have read the 70th book, Acts of the Apostles Seen from the Perspective of the Gospel of the Water and the Spirit.

The reason my heart is free from sin is not because I do not commit sins, but because God had mercy on my soul and came into this world in human flesh. I believe that He was baptized by John the Baptist to take upon Himself all our sins, died on the Cross to fully pay the price for our sins transferred through His baptism, and rose from the dead on the third day to give us new life and hope.

Through this book, I realized that the Acts of the Apostles is not a record of a process where the Gospel is progressively completed, but rather a Word that records how the Gospel of salvation already accomplished by Jesus Christ was proclaimed through the lips and faith of the apostles.

This book shows the work of the Holy Spirit operating through the apostles, who believed in the already completed Gospel of the Water and the Spirit.

I have come to understand that this beautiful Gospel of the Water and the Spirit was preached to the entire known world at that time and was not bound by any hindrance. This demonstrates that the work of God is propagated by God Himself, not by human will.

Furthermore, this book shows the fact that the Gospel was not progressively completed. I also learned that the Holy Spirit does not come through emotions, but when we believe the Word of salvation recorded in the Word of God.

I sincerely thank God for allowing me to encounter this beautiful Gospel of the Water and the Spirit.
