If we are not born again, we can only go to hell [Christian Testimony 40]

Here is a testimony of a believer who was born again through faith after reading the sermon book “Have You Truly Been Born Again of Water and Spirit?” by Pastor Paul C. Jong, servant of God from the New Life Mission. Hello everyone, today I will testify about how I was truly born again through faith in water and the Spirit. The first church I attended was an evangelical church. There, they taught about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which manifested through speaking in tongues, and I too spoke in tongues. Later, I was appointed to the ministry of evangelism, preaching the word and teaching Bible studies. I did fasts of repentance, fasts to cast out demons, and laid hands on people to cast out demons. Sometimes, things went very badly. Since the pastor who guided me said we were born again if we accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, I thought I was born again. But although Jesus had erased all our sins, I had to continue repenting of my sins and I couldn’t stop sinning. Despite th...

Genesis 1, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth... [Christian Sermons 6]

The following is a summary of the sermon message delivered by Pastor Paul C. Jong, author of the essential Christian book “Have You Truly Been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?” The Book of Genesis shows God’s plan and purpose like a blueprint, and through this Word, we can know that God exists and that God created us. Genesis 1:1–5 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.” God is the beginning and the end, and He is the God of creation who created all beginnings. God created all beginnings of heaven and earth, and on the sixth day, He created man. Genesis 1:2 “The earth...

Jesus came by ...

Are You Truly Believing the Gospel According to What Is Written in the Bible? [Christian Testimony 39]

Image
The Gospel Written in the Bible The following testimony is from a believer who was born again in faith after reading Book 1 “Have You Truly Been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?” from the sermon series by Pastor Paul C. Jong, servant of God of The New Life Mission. We must understand that both men and women are born as sinners with sin from the moment they are conceived in their mother’s womb. Therefore, we are separated from God by sin. In other words, human beings are destined for hell even before being born into this world. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) The Bible says in John 3:3, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” However, most people think that ‘being born again’ means ‘believing in Jesus, abandoning sinful life, striving under the law, repenting, and living a virtuous life’. But the Bible tells us that we must “be born again of Water and the Spirit,” which means that “sinn...

The following is a summary of a portion from the book “Have You Truly Been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?”, which is Book 1 of the sermon series by God’s servant Pastor Paul C. Jong of the New Life Mission. All people commit sins. All people commit adultery. However, not everyone is judged for their sins. Then who, despite committing sins, is granted God’s grace and attains the blessing of salvation without undergoing judgment? Romans 4:7, saying, “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered.” In John 8, there appears a woman caught in adultery. She was caught in the act and therefore had to be put to death for her sin. The Pharisees and scribes placed her in the midst and tested Jesus by asking, “Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” (John 8:4–5) Contrary to their intentions, Jesus replied, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her ...

I Always Had This Question in My Heart: 'Will I Go to Heaven?’ [Christian Testimony 38]

Image
This is a salvation testimony from Brother Jean-Claude Ndikumana (Burundi) who was born again by believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit after reading “Have You Truly Been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?” , the first volume of Pastor Paul C. Jong’s sermon series which has been translated into many languages worldwide and is available as a free download. Q: What is your understanding of the baptism of Jesus and His death on the Cross? A: Jesus’ baptism is like the laying on of hands in the Old Testament, where Jesus, who came as the Lamb, the sacrificial offering, took away all the sins of humanity through His baptism. His Cross signifies that Jesus was judged in our place instead of us having to die for our sins. Q: Do you have sin? A: I am definitely without sin. Q: How do you solve the problem of sins you will commit in the future? A: Because Jesus, who is God, took away all sins of the past, present, and future through His baptism and was judged for all those s...

How Was Atonement Fulfilled in the Old and New Testament? [Christian Sermons 3]

The following content is excerpted and summarized from Volume 1 of Pastor Paul C. Jong’s sermon series, “Have You Truly Been Born Again of Water and the Spirit?” which can be downloaded free in all world languages through The New Life Mission homepage. If you want to hear the Word in more detail, please visit The New Life Mission homepage to download free eBooks and audiobooks. In the Old Testament, the sins of the Israelites were atoned for through the laying on of hands and the shedding of blood on sacrificial animals such as unblemished cattle, sheep, or goats according to the sacrificial Law. In the Old Testament individual sacrifices, when Israelites who had sinned brought an unblemished lamb or goat, laid their hands on it to transfer their sins, and the priest sprinkled its blood in the sanctuary after it was killed, their sins were eliminated. Also, on the Day of Great Atonement set by God, Aaron the high priest, representing Israel, prepared two unblemished goats to ato...

Salvation from sin is not achieved by individual effort but through Jesus' salvation [Christian Testimony 37]

Image
I have read more than 13 books from the sermon series by Rev. Paul C. Jong, the servant of God at The New Life Mission. I have been reading these books for over 8 months. Through the sermons delivered by Rev. Jong, I fully understand the Gospel of the water and the Spirit. These books have brought light into my dark world, helping me understand why Jesus was baptized to bear our sins, was crucified as a sacrificial Lamb, and rose again. This Truth of the water and the Spirit, which saved us from all sins, needs to reach the billions of Christians who claim to be Christians but still think they have to work their own way to earn the forgiveness of sins. I hope you all receive the same blessing as I have. Salvation from sin does not depend on individual effort. We receive salvation from sin by believing in Jesus’ water (washing away all sins of the world through His baptism), blood (dying as the price for the sins He took through baptism), and the Spirit (Jesus being fundamentally ...
